Ilhan Omar calls President Trump a 'corrupt dictator in the making'

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) ripped into President Donald Trump during an interview on MSNBC and called him a "corrupt dictator in the making."

Omar was speaking to Chris Hayes on his show about the president defending Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman when she made the comments.
"Congresswoman what do you see as the effects of the president speaking in that way, going out of his way to sort of praise Mohammed bin Salman?" Hayes asked.
Omar sighed before answering.

"It's really frustrating to hear this president talk about MBS and what he's doing with women, when we know that MBS has incarcerating the women who have been fighting to liberate women in Saudi Arabia," Omar responded.

"But as they say you know," she continued, "you judge a man by the company he keeps and in the ways that he's cozied up to dictators around the world really tells us a lot about the kind of corrupt dictator in the making Trump is."

The president's support and defense of the Saudi Arabian prince despite evidence that he was involved in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi has been a flashpoint for critics of the president.

Omar was so proud of her insults to the president that she posted the video of her comments on her Twitter account after the interview.

Here's the video of Omar's comments:
