Pete Buttigieg declared victory in Iowa despite zero results being reported, and liberals are furious at him

Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg was criticized on social media after he declared victory in the Iowa caucuses despite no official results being reported.

The South Bend, Indiana, mayor was expected to do well in the key early contest of the Democratic primary, but his presumed victory was marred by the lack of actual results.
"We don't know all the results. But we know by the time it's all said and done, Iowa, you have shocked the nation," he said in his quasi-victory speech. "By all indications, we are going onto New Hampshire victorious!"
The Democrat party of Iowa released statements attempting to explain why results were delayed, but the lack of clarity and transparency led to embarrassing denunciations and accusations online.
Failed presidential candidate Mariane Williamson noted the peculiarity of Buttigieg's speech:
"Pete Buttigieg wins Iowa according to Pete Buttigieg! I get how this works. It's kind of fun once the horror wears off," remarked comedian Francesca Fiorentini.
"We have no results yet @PeteButtigieg claimed victory? Wtf am I missing something?" asked Olga Lautman.
Filmmaker Adam Best accused Buttigieg of truing to "fix" the results.
"According to what I can tell from watching Buttigieg's weird speech, he just won the American presidency with 97% of the Black vote. So, I guess congrats to him," joked Nima Shirazi.
"Out of the 100 or so supporters standing behind Pete Buttigieg right now, every single one of the black people seem to be strategically positioned directly behind Pete so they'll all be in the camera shot," complained CNN contributor Keith Boykin.
Democratic party officials were still unclear early Tuesday morning as to when the results could be expected.

Here's the latest in the caucus debacle:
