Marjorie Taylor Greene calls AOC 'the little communist from NYC' and says she's 'not an American' as she warms up the crowd at Trump rally in Ohio

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene warmed up the Ohio crowd at the rally for former President Donald Trump on Saturday night by hitting out at 'Squad' leader Alexandria Ocasio-Ortez - saying she was a 'Little Communist' and 'not an American.'

The New York congresswoman, 31, hit back immediately on Twitter, writing: 'First of all, I'm taller than her.'

Taylor Greene, 47, spoke at the Lorain County Fairgrounds outside of Cleveland during former President Donald Trump's first rally since leaving the White House.

Before hitting out at 'Squad' leader Ocasio-Cortez, Greene had polled the crowd to make to make sure they agreed that Trump was 'still their president' and claimed that 'Democrats stole the election.

Video shows the crowd booing Ocasio-Cortez, to which Greene said: 'Yeah, lock her up too. That's a good idea.'

'She's not an American. She really doesn't embrace our American ways,' Greene said before criticizing Ocasio-Cortez for her support of the Green New Deal.

Ocasio-Cortez was born in the Bronx borough of New York City, for which she serves as congresswoman. Her parents were also American citizens from birth, having been born in the Bronx and Puerto Rico - which is a U.S. territory.

Greene, according to her page on CrossFit, is 5'3" tall. Ocasio-Cortez's height was not immediately known, though some websites estimate she stands at 5'4".

Ilhan Omar, a fellow congresswoman and member of the progressive 'Squad' in the U.S. House, responded to AOC's tweet with two laughing emojis.

Greene has not yet responded back to the jab from Ocasio-Cortez.

The Georgia congresswoman got an onstage shout-out from Trump during the Ohio rally.

Meanwhile, AOC and Greene, on opposite ends of the political spectrum, have often verbally sparred since Greene's quick rise in popularity among some conservatives.

Last month, Greene confronted Ocasio-Cortez outside the House chamber after shouting 'Hey Alexandria' twice to get her attention, the Washington Post reported.

Greene then started demanding to know why Ocasio-Cortez supports anti-fascist protesters and Black Lives Matter, which she labeled as 'terrorist' groups.

'You don't care about the American people,' Greene shouted. 'Why do you support terrorists and antifa?'

Ocasio-Cortez ignored Greene's chides to debate her as Greene claimed she was failing to defend her "radical socialist" beliefs by not engaging.

'She's a chicken. She doesn't want to debate. I don't think the debate has been agreed to yet,' Greene told reporters after Ocasio-Cortez ignored her.

Greene's comments also referred to requests she has made through tweets to debate Ocasio-Cortez about the merits of the Green New Deal.

The confrontation prompted a complaint by Ocasio-Cortez's to authorities to ensure Congress remained 'a safe, civil place for all members and staff.'

Ocasio-Cortez's office responded by calling on congressional authorities to protect members of Congress and foster a climate for safe debate.

'Representative Greene tried to begin an argument with Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez and when Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tried to walk away, Congresswoman Greene began screaming and called Rep. Ocasio-Cortez a terrorist sympathizer,' Ocasio-Cortez spokeswoman Lauren Hitt said in a statement given to the newspaper.

'We hope leadership and the Sergeant at Arms will take real steps to make Congress a safe, civil place for all members and staff — especially as many offices are discussing reopening. One member has already been forced to relocate her office due to Congresswoman Greene's attacks.'

Greene has a record of spreading conspiracy theories and Democrats voted to strip her of committee assignments.
