The Former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich has lashed out against against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calling her the 'most destructive Speaker' in history.
Gingrich, who served as the 50th Speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999, was speaking on Fox News to Laura Ingraham on Tuesday night.
Ingraham asked Gingrich to explain his position on Pelosi, 'You said Nancy Pelosi is the most destructive speaker ever. Really quickly, why?' she asked.
Newt Gingrich slammed Nancy Pelosi as 'the most dangerous speaker of the House we've had probably in American history.'
'First off, she keeps violating the Constitution,' Gingrich claimed.
'The latest impeachment is just a simple example. She uses her power ruthlessly and she has really pushed through the most radical positions ever taken by an American Speaker, including abolishing mother and father and uncle and aunt and son and daughter as words, literally trying to strip out any gender reference from the House of Representatives. I think she's very dangerous.'
'But she is an ardent practicing Catholic, so you cannot criticize her,' Ingraham responded, tongue firmly in cheek.
Gingrich made similar claims during another interview on Fox at the weekend where he further elaborated his views on Pelosi.
Gingrich who was Speaker of the House between 1995 and 1999 described Pelosi as being 'dangerous' for 'using power ruthlessly'
'She lives in an enclave that is guarded in San Francisco,' Gingrich said.
'She is surrounded by left-wing looney tunes who think that it's OK to live in a city where ... there's a map you can go to on the internet that shows you where feces were. They don't distinguish dog and human, but they'll show you the feces count that day around San Francisco.'
'This is the same problem with Vice President Kamala Harris,' Gingrich continued.
'They come from the center of left-wing nuttiness, and all their friends at the local country club or all their friends when they go to a cocktail party, think this craziness makes sense.

'Pelosi has been in politics so long that she operates like a genuine machine politician of the old order. And she doesn't mind abusing power. She doesn't mind running over people ... she's so willing to break the rules and to, frankly, just say things that are totally untrue,' Gingrich said in a bitter outburst.
Gingrich, a former Republican Georgia congressman was first elected to the House in 1978. In 1995, he stepped up to be speaker of the House, ending a long Democratic monopoly.
He ended up resigning in 1999 after a Congressional ethics probe found he lied about violating tax law.
Ultimately, he was the first-ever Speaker punished by the House for ethics violations.
Gingrich finally resigned from his position in 1999 after it became clear he couldn't win another term as speaker.
Pelosi, meanwhile, has been instrumental in securing a second impeachment of former President Donald Trump.
Speaking last week, she justified the process stating it would be 'harmful to unity' to forget that 'people died here on January the 6th, the attempt to undermine our election, to undermine our democracy, to dishonor our Constitution.'
Republicans have criticized the impeachment for failing to live up to Biden's 'unity' theme.
But Pelosi said: 'Joe Biden said it beautifully: 'If you're going to unite, you must remember.''
She added: 'Just because he's gone now, thank God, you don't say to a president 'do whatever you want in the last months of your administration.'
'People think we should make nice-nice and forget that people died here, that the then-president to undermine our election, to undermine our democracy, to dishonor our Constitution.'
Five people, including a Capitol Police officer, died in the mayhem, and the House impeached the outgoing president a week later with 10 Republicans joining all Democrats in support.
However, it may all come to nothing. A majority of Republicans voted on Tuesday that Donald Trump's second impeachment is unconstitutional in a sign the former president will likely be acquitted in his upcoming trial which is due to begin February 8.
